Some were born gifted, driven and brilliant. They will seize every opportunity given — sweeping the awards every single year. But for most of us, we have to work our socks off to be in a position where one could even consider merely "satisfactory".

For a period, all I could do was envy others' achievements. My first semester results were subpar to TGB standards. Consequently, I got rejected from Badan Wakil Pelajar and a notable number of competitions that I complacently thought I could take part in.
I got tired...Of being dishonest to myself, not loving myself enough because of the failures that I encountered. As a coping mechanism, I belittled others — indoctrinating myself into believing that I am better than others. This is obviously not right.
Something's gotta change. And it starts with me.
Chapter 1 - Support System
No ants can carry sugar alone. There shall be no such thing as "all for one, and one for all". It should always be "all for all, and that is all". This was the turning point for me to completely revamp. To have a consistent effort, you must first take care of the serenity of your mind. Mental health is no.1, remember that. The way I rebuild my support system is as simple as trying to be kind to everyone. There were some potholes along the way, no denying that. But I attempted my best to be more empathetic towards people around me. Especially when you're in a boarding school, friends are the integral component that completes your life. The outcomes? - I don't have much to worry about whenever I am with the ones that I love. - They will always cheer me up in times of ordeal.
- Having fun helps me to eradicate unnecessary stress and anxiety.
- I have many to depend on whenever I need any help with my studies.
- I came round to believe that we should always pursue love before material. Yea yea exams may be important, but mediocrity is always the key to harmony
I felt a sense of self-worth for the first time in a long period. I feel good whenever I help my friends with their studies or just anything in general. This will contribute back to your self-confidence. You won't feel suck much longer, and starting to believe more in your importance.
Helping others is helping yourself
---------- I dedicate my first blog in this series to honour everyone in my life; the kind ones and the constructively critical ones, the quipster and the caring, the boys and the girls, the seniors and the juniors, the close ones and the acquaintances, and finally to everyone reading this. I wholeheartedly appreciate all of your presence
Thank you <3
